Pablo started his career in the Insurance Industry in Mapfre Argentina back in 1991. He had a prominent role in the creation of the Assistance Business Unit, that spearheaded its role out and growth in the rest of the Latin American markets. He started out as COO and went on to become the Executive Managing Director in 1996.
In 1999 he was promoted as Manager of Business Development in Spain and later as CEO of Portugal, thus beginning his career in the European markets. The year 2004 brought about a very significant move when he was appointed European Regional Manager, based in the company’s HQ in Madrid.
He was appointed as a permanent member of the Management Committee of Mapfre Asistencia, the highest governing body of the unit.
In line with Mapfre’s strategic expansion he moved to the United Kingdom and promoted as EMEA Regional Manager out of others responsibilities.

Ignacio has been in the Travel Insurance industry for over 25 years. He started out his first tenure at Universal Assistance, as assistance Operator in 1987, and moved up through the ranks to become COO until 2004, overseeing 150,000 medical cases per year. He also developed the company’s BPO Operation (a spin-off the company's main business) from its inception, with a total 198 workstations that worked at 90% capacity. In his second tenure at Universal Assistance, from 2011 to 2014, he took on the role of COO, responsible for the management of 220,000 international claims yearly for approximately U$D 40 million.
Later, he held a major role at Assist-Card International as International Business Development Director, launching sales operations in the Philippines, Indonesia, India, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand and Turkey.
His skills in operations as well as in sales are indivisible which makes him an asset in the healthcare and travel insurance markets. Ignacio enjoys international recognition from the Travel Insurance and healthcare provider industry worldwide.
